Board Meeting, Thursday May 8

calendar_May_08The Association Board Meeting this month is Thursday, May 8, at 7:00 p.m. at Coral Ridge Yacht Club!  Our friends at the Yacht Club have graciously invited us to have our Board Meetings at their wonderful facility.  We thank them for their hospitality.  The highlights of the agenda include:

  • Discussion of the potential changes to the City of Fort Lauderdale Code regarding trailers;
  • Discussion regarding filling a vacant board seat;
  • An update on crime statistics by the Fort Lauderdale Police Department; and
  • Committee Reports.

With such a light agenda, we expect this meeting to be shorter than usual.  We look forward to seeing you at the meeting at our new meeting location, the Coral Ridge Yacht Club, 2800 Yacht Club Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304.  Please remember that our hosts have invited meeting attendees to enjoy dining and drinks available for purchase with a credit card.

Temporary Detour on Bayview Drive

The City of Fort Lauderdale is responding to a minor utility line break on Bayview Drive at NE 17th Street.  Motorists traveling on Bayview Drive are being detoured between NE 15th Street and NE 18th Street.

Northbound traffic on Bayview Drive is being detoured west on NE 15th Street, then north on NE 26th Avenue and east on NE 18th Street to Bayview Drive. Continue reading →

Coral Ridge Easter Egg Hunt – Saturday, April 19 at Noon

large_Easter_Egg_Hunt_Logo1Come join us at noon on Saturday, April 19, at Jack & Harriet Kaye Park (across the street from George English Park) for the Annual Coral Ridge Easter Egg Hunt.  Inge Grossmann and her daughter Monica stuffed 1500 plastic eggs for the hunt!  The park will be sectioned off for three separate age groups: 4 years old and younger;  5 - 7 years old; and 8 years old and up.  This is a great event for the children of Coral Ridge and a great opportunity to meet your neighbors.  Remember to bring your child's basket and arrive early.  The hunt starts at noon sharp and the eggs get scooped up quickly!  We look forward to seeing you Saturday.

  • One lane in each direction of Sunrise Boulevard between NE 20th Avenue and Middle River Drive will be closed overnight Sunday, January 19 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. This closure will allow the contractor to prepare the roadway for the upcoming traffic shift. Continue reading →

Coral Ridge Association Holiday Party – Saturday

HappyHolidaysLightsCome join us this Saturday, December 21, 2012 at George English Park (1101 Bayview Drive) from 2:00 to 4:00 pm for the 13th Annual Coral Ridge Association Holiday Party.  Great fun for kids and adults alike with refreshments for all.  There will be pony rids for kids, a petting zoo, bungee jumping, and a huge double lane slide.  Santa and Mrs. Clause will also be there for photos.  Please bring an almost new toy for a donation to charity.  This party is a great annual tradition for neighborhood kids and adults.  Help get the word out about our party.  Forward this post to your neighborhood friends, and click here for a flyer you can print out and give to your neighbors.  See you on Saturday at this great family neighborhood event!
