Sunrise Blvd. Middle River Bridge Update

A1A Restoration Meeting December 10 – Impact on Bayview Drive?

According to Mayor Seiler, "erosion from Hurricane Sandy, coupled with extreme seasonal high tides, strong winds, and ocean swells, have impacted a small, four-block portion of State Road A1A on Fort Lauderdale Beach." As a result, "this area of A1A has been restricted to one lane in each direction since November 23, when the two former northbound lanes had to be closed due erosion of the beach caused by extreme high tides." South Florida remains under a Flood Watch through Monday evening, August 27.

Storm Conditions

According to the National Weather Service, Tropical Storm Isaac is located about 40 miles southwest of Key West,Florida. Broward County remains under a Tropical Storm Warning.
Broward County is under a Tornado Watch until 5:00 pm today (Sunday, August 26).
South Florida is under a Flood Watch.

Storm Conditions
The City of Fort Lauderdale continues to monitor the progress of Tropical Strom Isaac. According to the National Weather Service, Tropical Storm Isaac is located about 80 miles southeast of Key West, Florida.
