Coral Ridge Association Holiday Party Saturday!

Come join us this Saturday, December 22, 2012 at George English Park (1101 Bayview Drive) from 2:00 to 4:00 pm for the 12th Annual Coral Ridge Association Holiday Party.  Great fun for kids and adults alike with refreshments for all.  There will be hayrides with 2 horses for kids and adults, a petting zoo, bungee jumping, and a huge double lane slide.  Santa and Mrs. Clause will also be there for photos.  And, if scheduling permits, the City of Fort Lauderdale Fire Department will be there with a fire truck on display.  Please bring an almost new toy for a donation to charity.  This party is a great annual tradition for neighborhood kids and adults.  Help get the word out about our party.  Forward this post to your neighborhood friends, and click here for a flyer you can print out and give to your neighbors.  See you on Saturday at this great family neighborhood event!

A1A Restoration Meeting December 10 – Impact on Bayview Drive?

According to Mayor Seiler, "erosion from Hurricane Sandy, coupled with extreme seasonal high tides, strong winds, and ocean swells, have impacted a small, four-block portion of State Road A1A on Fort Lauderdale Beach." As a result, "this area of A1A has been restricted to one lane in each direction since November 23, when the two former northbound lanes had to be closed due erosion of the beach caused by extreme high tides." On December 10, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, representatives from the Florida Department of Transportation, Broward County and the City of Fort Lauderdale will hold a Public Meeting on A1A Restoration at the Beach Community Center located at 3351 NE 33 Avenue to provide information and updates about the status of the beach and the roadway. Lost Dog – Small Light Tan Yorkie (Update: Found!)

Today (11/19) Pasha, the family dog at 2740 NE 21st Court, ran away during some landscaping work. Pasha is about 3.5 pounds and is a light tan Yorkie. If you find Pasha, please call Barbara. She is very much missed by the children. Thank you for keeping your eyes open for Pasha.

Update: Pasha is excited to be back home!

Quarter 3 – 2012 Real Estate Sales up 31% for Coral Ridge

According to the Greater Fort Lauderdale Realtors 46  homes sold in Coral Ridge during the 3rd Quarter of 2012, an increase of 31% from the previous quarter. Nine of the sales were distress properties (5 short sales and 3 bank-owned) which accounts for 20% of the total.  The distressed property percentage is the same as the previous quarter.  Following is the breakdown of the sales:
