The City of Fort Lauderdale is responding to a minor utility line break on Bayview Drive at NE 17th Street. Motorists traveling on Bayview Drive are being detoured between NE 15th Street and NE 18th Street.
Northbound traffic on Bayview Drive is being detoured west on NE 15th Street, then north on NE 26th Avenue and east on NE 18th Street to Bayview Drive.
Southbound traffic on Bayview Drive is being detoured west on NE 18th Street, South on NE 26th Avenue and east on NE 15th Street to Bayview Drive.
Water and sewer service is not expected to be affected while repairs are being made. A temporary utility line bypass has been set up and repair work is underway.
Motorists are advised to reduce speed in the area and follow the posted detour routes. Motorists may expect delays during peak traffic periods.
Roadways in the marked construction zone are open to local traffic only.
Work is expected to be completed early next week.
