Knock and Wait Occupied Burglary on 29th Street

On Monday, May 14, an interrupted occupied burglary occurred on 29th Street in Coral Ridge.  At about 2 pm, a male got out of a black SUV and knocked on the front door of the victim's house.  The homeowner was home, did not answer the door, and called the police.  When there was no answer at the front door, the male went around to the back of the house and gained entry with a screwdriver.  The police interrupted the Continue reading

April 2012 Real Estate Sales Results for Coral Ridge

According to the Greater Fort Lauderdale Realtors MLS, 16 residential properties were sold in April 2012 in Coral Ridge.  The 16 properties are made up of the following:
*  5 non-waterfront single family homes (avg price = $515,600)
*  4 waterfront single family homes (avg. price = $1,389,340)
*  3 waterfront condomiums (avg. price = $188,333)
*  1 waterfront Co-Op ($225,000)
*  1 waterfront townhouse ($313,000)
*  2 non-waterfront townhouses (avg. price $352,500)
Two of the properties were bank-owned (REO) prior to sale.  There were no short sales.

Mix It. Curb It. Recycling Program

This Summer, the City of Fort Lauderdale is launching Mix It. Curb It., a new program that will make recycling much easier and more convenient.   Residential recycling customers will receive blue, 65-gallon carts into which they can mix all clean recyclables.  Delivery will take place over five weeks beginning in mid-June, and residents may begin using their new carts immediately.  Old bins will be collected for recycling at the time of cart delivery.
